Our Council
Prestbury Parish Council has 12 Parish Councillor seats. Elections take place every four years. The next one will be in 2027. In-between elections, Parish Councils are allowed to co-opt members to fill any casual vacancies that arise unless electors call for elections to fill vacant seats.
A statutory annual meeting is held each May at which the Chair and Vice Chair of the Council are elected by the Council members for the following Civic Year.
In order to be transparent each Councillor must declare any pecuniary interests and a register is kept of these with the monitoring officer at Cheshire East Council.
Our Cheshire East Council Representative
Prestbury has one Councillor to represent them on Cheshire East Council.
