Cllr Lillian Burns
Cllr. Lillian Burns is an independent councillor with no political affiliations who has lived in Prestbury for 35 years.
A Prestbury Parish Councillor for over twenty years, Cllr Burns serves on the executive board of the Cheshire Association of Local Councils (ChALC) and represents ChALC (which covers Cheshire East, Cheshire West & Chester, Warrington and Halton) on the National Assembly of the National Association of Local Councils (NALC). At NALC, Cllr Burns serves on the Policy and the Smaller Councils Committees.
A journalist by training, Cllr Burns researched and produced a report on Neighbourhood Planning in 2018 for NALC, along with an academic colleague, which has prompted the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government to set about examining what improvements can be made to the neighbourhood planning system
